Further, it’s a good opportunity for more experienced students to share their advice and stories in trading shares.

The career skills component will be cover letter writing. This will cover layout, tailoring to firms and include valuable handouts and starter templates.

Asset & Funds Management

BIG will step you through the different types of investment funds, how you can expose yourself to different asset classes using investment funds and the career paths you can follow to enter into the field of portfolio management.

Take it that one step beyond your cover letter and understand how to write an appealing résumé. Should you add colour? Do finance firms appreciate dot points? What goes where? Come along, listen and grab your resources to ensure your resume is placed on top of the pile.

Investment Banking

This week BIG will be covering interview skills, body language and dress etiquette. Securing an internship or graduate position goes well beyond what you do, but involves showing others ‘how you do’. This includes presenting yourself, your self-confidence and your ability to work with others. This week learn how to hone into these skills and increase your successes.
